I use other retinol creams, but wanted to test this out too. It is almost the same in skin feel as others, but I can't find out the percentage of Retinol A in the jar.
Comparison of easiest to penetrate skin
1. Life-flo, Retinol A 1% Cream, Advanced Revitalization
2. Maryann Organics, Retinol, Moisturizing Cream or Swanson Retinol cream . ( Tied )

I tried to get specific retinol concentration % info directly from Swanson and they brushed off my question using this logic.
"The process of testing for each ingredient and stating its percentage or milligrams measured several different ways for products can raise prices. Swanson has chosen to classify their creams as a cosmetic to keep the price of their creams down by eliminating the need to precisely measure everything. Cosmetics are not required to test for percentages or milligrams in the ingredient" .
Other retinol creams offered on iHerb are also listed as cosmetics and they have offered % info of retinol concentration. An example is Life-flo 1% retinol cream.
As a pharmacist I can only assume Swanson's retinol cream is below 1% and that is why they refuse to say if lower or higher than 1%.. Let's be realistic. The company manufactures their product regularly as they produce new batches and they must have a formulation table for each ingredient they use to make it the same each time. They know how much retinol they use they just won't say what that amount is. Seems a simple question they just won't reply to. Come to your own conclusions based on the facts and/or opinions I presented
