It was recommended by my endocrinologist along with vitamin D from the same brand. I don’t doubt it’s efficiency, my main complain is about the package and dosage. The bottle is massive and although there are 240 pills, it’s only a 2 months intake, as one dose equals 4 pills. They are also big and quite difficult to swallow, would be great if it could be reformulated to be more user friendly.
I’ve never found a calcium pill that is easy to swallow, but this tablet is a wee bit smaller than my usual brand so that makes it a bit easier. Some of the tablets have a chalky texture, so those are harder to swallow. The price is more economical than my usual brand and the serving size and calcium amount is the same, so for the savings I’ll buy this brand again.

I looked high and low for a calcium citrate supplement. I need calcium that is considered bio-available. And I can't swallow huge supplements, caplets, especially. They get stuck going down. Most are huge and you have to take 3-4 of them to get the RDA serving size. I settled on these capsules because it's a good brand at the best price for a capsule. Even with this size cap I have to take each one with a bite of banana to help it slide down. That works pretty well. Just enough slime to a ripe banana. The only con to this brand, and also others is that they do a sloppy job of capsuling the powder. They need to find a way to dust them off, and use caps that fit tighter together so the powder doesn't sift out of them. The caps are full, but there is powder all over them and around the edge of the inside of the rim and down the sides, inside the bottle. Messy business, but it washed off with no trouble. Just figure on it getting all over your hands.

I have no complaints about this supplement besides the shape of the tablets. It's not even because of the size, which is big, but because of the "edges" that should be more rounded. I usually take calcium citrate tablets from Country's Life brand, but as it was out of stock, I gave this one a try. I'll definitely go back to the other one. Also, it's important to say this one is not vegan.
I like the fact the calcium is combined with Vitamin D3. The pills are pretty darn big, but guess that comes with territory for calcium pills.
My mom gets it a lot, she’s says it’s great quality and the ingredients are nice. It benefits her bone health. Overall it’s a great supplement.
My favorite Ca and D3 supplement. Solgar provides a very nice quality every time. I buy them all the time for my parents too cos in their age it is really important to get enough Calcium.
